I was driving home from work at 0530 when driver window suddenly dropped. It was the window regulator that broke. That wasn't the only incident all window regulators broke within a year after that and just recently the driver window broke again. So that a total of 5 window regulator that broke in my truck. A definite manufacturer defect.

For the second time the window in my ford f150 crashed down into the door panel. Cost me $450 atford dealer to fix. Dealer service rep told me this would happen when the vehicle was in warranty but ford wont recall and they know the problem exists. My estimate is 4,000,000 vehicles at least ,2004-07,08. *tr

On the f-150 trucks from years ranging 2004-2009 the power windows are failing due to a plastic piece that holds the cable in place. Once this plastic piece breaks and the weight of the glass cause it to fall into the door. The issue is this, if the plastic piece is all that keeps this window up, it is not long until car thieves find out that all they need to do is put enough pressure down ward on any of the windows…

The power window regulator had an internal failure and failed to be able to support the window any longer. The power window regulator required replacement. *tr

I own a 2005 ford f150 supercrew pickup. While driving i tried to lower the driver-side front window. As soon as i touched the power window switch the window fell all the way down into the door and became inoperable. After taking the inner door panel off i could see a mess of snarled cable inside the door. The local ford dealer wants over $400 to fix this problem. The service tech at the dealer admitted this was a…

The noise startled me so bad i ended up swerving into the next lane and almost crashing, come to find out; my window fell into the door and is now broken. Upon looking into the situation i have realized many other complaints online about power window regulator. Things like this need to be recalled…

Owner of a 2005 ford f150 supercrew 4x4. I cannot say that any particular event lead up to the failure of this issue. The passenger side rear power window fell inside the door due to a defect in the window lift assembly. Apparently a cable came loose that supports the window and it will no longer stay up. This creates a huge safety issue for my children in the backseat, not to mention theft and weather concerns. As…

We have a 2005 ford f-150, my husband is deployed and the truck sits for long periods of time. On july 3rd, me and my daughter (five years old) were driving the truck when the wndow fell. What if the window would have shattered and hurt my child?? This window has been up and down maybe a hand full of times! This was by no way "an over time" incident. Ford is opting to have cheap parts produced, while never thinking…

2005 f-150 window regulator fails without warning. Had one replaced under manufacturer's warranty and another failed at 48k miles. Seems to be a common trend amongst ford vehicles. I understand that this problem is not just limited to the 2005 models. Also appears in expeditions. This is a serious risk for theft, as well as a danger to the occupants. Most recent failure occurred while driving. It was raining when…

As i reached for the up down switch the window dropped into the door. I was quite startled. When i got home i googled the internet to find numerous complaints on the f-150 power windows. I taped the window shut and am now investigating repair…

Within the last four months (shortly after the 3 year warranty expiration) three of four power window regulators have failed in my f-150. The dealer indicates that this is one of the most common repair actions for f-150's. This is clearly a well documented and complained about product deficiency that is also a major safety hazard because when the failures occur the window drops into the door panel. My most recent…

Passenger side electric window on our 2005 ford f-150 supercab simply fell down while my wife was working. We rarely use the passenger window at all.
