Vehicle downshifts while driving abruptly and without cause. This has occurred at highway and city speeds as well as with and without a trailer in tow. The front end still is all over the road, following tire replacement, brake replacement and alignment.

Traveling at 50 mph i had a sudden down shift from 6th gear down to 1st gear. The back wheels locked up causing a skid. The line of traffic behind me suddenly had to break for me.
