Tl* the contact owns a 1999 ford f-150. The contact stated was driving approximately 20 mph when he drove over a road bump and the fuel tank detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop where the contact was informed that both straps which held the fuel tank in place were fractured due to corrosion. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 142,000.
