My husband, joe, was involved in an accident on 12/18/00. According to my husband everything happened so quickly but he claims the wheel (driver side) came off prior to hitting the other vehicle. I collided with a smaller vehicle(chevrolet beretta) at a low speed. My wheel fell off and i ran over it. The reporting police officer shared my disbelief that this occurred with minimal damage from the collision to the other vehicle. I think that the wheel may have broken loose just prior to the actual collision. *ak
