My 2001 ford f150 harley davidson truck has accelerated on it's own while i drove into a parking spot. Fortunately there was a parking cement piece that stopped my truck from hitting a wall. There seems to be no recalls on my vehicle for this issue based on the vin. It doesn't make sense. I believe that this is a safety hazard.

The truck was parked after being driven 2 miles. It had started to smoke and next thing i know it was on fire. I called the fire department, while my 15 y/o son put out fire with a fire extinguisher. It was said to be a electrical fire. Our 2001 ford f150 was on fire, an explosion had made a huge hole in the hood on the front of the driver side. The truck had last been driven the morning of may 17, 2011 and had been sitting in our driveway since then. The firemen said the fire was due to electrical wiring. I own a 2001 ford f-150 with 82,000 miles on it and i have had problems with the spark plugs on the heads. There is no recall on the heads which i've read in many different websites this seems like a common problem that many 99-03 ford f-150 owners are going through. Ford motor company needs to make a recall and fix this problem soon or else they will lose a lot of customers.
