Tl*the contact owns a 2002 ford f-150. While the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed smoke underneath the hood. She opened the hood and noticed flames. She extinguished the flames and stated that the fire originated near the cruise control wires. The manufacturer stated that it would take fifteen days for them to reach a decision regarding how to handle the issue. The failure and current mileages were 95,000.

Truck was driven to work and after about 30 minutes the truck was on fire. The truck from engine to cab was on fire. The fire burned the engine, the hood melted off, the tires melted, some windows were gone,and the fabric off the seats were burned off. Since then, my cruise control has failed to work and when i hit the "on" button and the "coast" button at the same time, my horn will blow.
