The truck will down shift at any given time. I have had this issue happen a couple of times in the city at lower speeds 40 mph or less. Truck will typically get back in sink and drive normal. The latest incident was the scariest. I was on the interstate traveling at 70 mph in 6 gear. And the truck down shifts into 1st gear!!!! Locking the rear wheels up in traffic at this speed is dangerous and luckily no one was…

While driving the truck at speeds of 40-60 mph the transmission automatically downshifts to a lower gear (6th to 1st) and the transmission starts shifting gears very erratic then smooths out and shifts back to 6th gear. Very concerning and unsafe especially when on the highway or in heavy traffic situations

Erratic shifting when driving. Would downshift from 5th to 1st randomly at high speeds. When put into drive in parking lot would start transmission in 5th and not move. Suspect it is the lead molding frame in the transmission that is causing the issue. Ford issued a recall for all lead mold frames for the 2011 and 2012 f150s but it is clear it is still plaguing the 2013 and 2014s.

Have taken our truck twice to the dealer we bought from (chevy dealer) for transmission problems and they haven't been able to find anything wrong. We press the gas and get nowhere. Sometimes, we switch into neutral, then back…

It has almost caused a few wrecks and one with a trailer pulling machinery. We bought this truck to have a newer truck to haul our horses as well, and cannot do that. This needs to be taken care of!
