Fuel pump fuse melted while on highway at approximately 60mph, causing sudden deceleration and loss of power. Check engine light came on. I was able to barely get off the freeway to the shoulder. Had to be towed to dealership. This is a dangerous design defect and the incident could easily have resulted in a bad accident.

The problems have grown now to include 2) the digital temperature display is stuck at a constant 55'. 3) the front windshield defroster does not operate - at all. 4) the heater does not work - at all. Rear window exploding after using defrost. After turning on rear window defroster, i heard a loud pop and found that the back window had shattered. After reading multiple instanes online of this happening, i beleive this should be a recall issue. Ford is aware of the issue and wants to do nothing about it. If a child was seated in the seat when this happened, there would be pieces of glass all over them.
