One cold morning i remote started my vehicle sitting in my driveway. After leaving the house i noticed the driver side rear window with slider was shattered. There was no exterior damage or something that made an impact. I have also read many other accounts of this issue on ford forums.

As reported by hundreds of other users, a faulty rear defroster has caused the rear windshield to spontaneously shattered and got pieces in the rear seat. Luckily i was parked at my work parking lot, and there was no child in the backseat. There needs to be a recall or a fix for this. As well as reimbursement for my window.

. I had remote started the vehicle in the morning. On the way to work the drivers side rear window later shattered with a loud pop with no impact or previous damage. I believe this is due to the rear defroster not shutting off. I have read many other complaints of the exact same thing happening (same section of the sliding window) but ford has yet to accept any responsibility for this.
